The waterfall among it's forest

The lush green Samaná Mountain range surrounds this 52-meter-high waterfall. At the bottom is huge and deep, though the water is very cold. Almost everyone who comes to the waterfall does so on horseback from the town of El Limón, near Las Tarrenas. The 2.5-kilometer (1.5 mile) journey is through dense forest and crosses many rivers. The lush green forest is filled with native plants like the flora and fauna. The royal palm tree and amazing pineapples can also be found along the Beautiful birds are also ubiquitous, the palmchat -the DR’s national bird - is one to see while on horseback, along with the Hispaniolan woodpecker, and the broad-billed tody.
