You can imagine this place as in between a Soviet apartment building and Las Vegas-style ancient Maya ruins. This place consists of 10-story high buildings to form the shape of a cross when looked at from above. At the intersection of the Cross’s arms are white uniform guards. They are supposedly guarding the remains of Christopher Columbus’s remains. Italy and Spain both say that they have the remains though. The long hallways display documents of Columbus’s voyages, exploration and conquest, though most of the documents are reproductions. At the top of these buildings are brilliant white lights that light up the sky with the white cross. The lights are only lit once a year though because they can cause power outages for nearby towns.
